About XMM

Welcome to Xplosive Math Meet, a math competition designed for students who love math and enjoy mathematical challenges.

XMM aims to encourage students to think creatively, develop problem-solving skills, and engage with mathematics in new and exciting ways. Through a series of challenging problems covering school-topic mathematics, including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus, participants will have the opportunity to assess their current status and compete with other students, also building up their extracurricular activities by receiving awards and certificates.

Other than school-topic questions, here is the set of topics covered in XMM.

  • Counting and Probability: This category includes questions on counting principles, probability rules, permutations, combinations, and more.
  • Number Theory: This category includes questions on prime numbers, divisibility rules, modular arithmetic, and more.
  • Plane Geometry: This category includes questions on plane geometry concepts such as triangle properties, circle properties, and more.
    • The second math meet was held on October 15, 2023, in KST. The registration for the third meet will open in near future.

    Mock Exam

    The following mock exam mimics the actual XMM format. The mock exam contains 5 questions whose levels of difficulty are more or less similar to the actual exam which consists of 15 questions. Take as much time as possible to try out all questions in the exam.
